Shinhwa : Comeback not Reunion

Shinhwa-san 🍊🍊🍊!! For those that are wondering why Shinhwa Changjo always use this orange emoticon when we talk about Shinhwa, let me answer you. Because we are the Orange Princesses 😊😊😊.

Before I go further into this post, do you my beloved blog reader know who is Shinhwa?? First clue, the picture below 👇👇. Do you recognize them.

Second clue, members' names. ERIC, LEE MINWOO, KIM DONGWAN, SHIN HYESUNG, JUNJIN, ANDY. Recognize any of them??

Last clue, some of their hit songs: T.O.P, Yo!, Only One, Wild Eyes, Perfect Man, I Pray 4U, Brand New, Once In A Lifetime, Venus, This Love, Sniper. I guess by now, you must be familiar with some of the songs that I mentioned because many kpop idols junior have covered their songs especially Wild Eyes.

Who is Shinhwa?

Shinhwa is a 1st generation kpop group that debuted on 24th March 1998. This year is already their 19th anniversary. Shinhwa has continuously been active in the entertainment industry by releasing albums almost every year except during their 4 years hiatus for completing mandatory enlistments. Shinhwa is the longest-running kpop group that are active without disbanding and members change.

Recently Shinhwa made a comeback with their 13th Album titled Unchanging. Part 1 was released back in 29th November 2016, meanwhile Part 2 was on 2nd January 2017.

Comeback vs Reunion

With the recent trend of 1st generation kpop idols had reunion and releasing songs together, it is frustrating for me that people are including Shinhwa in the list. The reason of SHCJ dissapointment with it is really simple : SHINHWA NEVER DISBAND AND THEREFORE THE TERM REUNION IS IRRELEVANT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH SHINHWA.

There are some fans of other groups saying that Shinhwa fans are childish and ridiculous for arguing about stuff like this. We argue because we want to protect Shinhwa and the history that we share together. Lets be honest, it is not easy to achieve what Shinhwa is doing. Continuos promotion since debut without a member change. That is very precious to us and we are proud of that. Yes, they did had a hiatus of four years to complete their mandatory enlistments but HIATUS IS NOT THE SAME AS DISBANDMENT.

This is a fact about Shinhwa, they never disband and had reunion but they had comeback for new album releases. I hope some of you who do not know about this can appreciate more of Shinhwa. Now, you might thought that this issue is irrelevant but trust me, when you grow up with your idols and share many special moments, you will understand why we feels like this.
