Choi Tae Joon Is A Robot in '109 Strange Things' Web Drama

As I said in my previous posts, many dramas now always incorporated fantasy element it the storyline. Perhaps the idea of witnessing our childhood fantasy such as superpower, mystical ability or futuristic world really happen in real life manage to spark our interest. This is actually important to encourage our society these days to keep fantasizing and dreaming because it might not be impossible to happen. However, we shall not dream and fantasize to have a better life without making any effort because that will be useless.

109 STRANGE THINGS

Here we have another drama with fantasy element. I am not sure how many of you heard about thing drama. 109 Strange Things is actually a web drama so maybe that is why there is not so many news about it.
This will be a 6 episodes web drama that will be broadcast through Naver TV. It will aired on Wednesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. KST. The first episode is on February 1^st, 2017. For, every episode, the duration will only be 10 minutes. (So, the total duration for the whole web drama is about 60 minutes).

MAIN CASTS

Choi Tae Joon as KDI-109

Choi Tae Joon is a South Korean actor. He started his career as a child actor in the 2001 SBS drama Piano playing the role of young Lee Kyung Ho. He starred in many dramas such as Padam Padam, The Girl Who Sees Smells, All About My Mom and The Flower in Prison. He also featured in several films such a Pacemaker  and Eclipse. He won a Best New Actor Award at 2014 MBC Drama Awards for his role in  Mother’s Garden. Currently, he plays the role as the troublemaker Choi Tae-Ho in MBC drama Missing Nine working alongside Baek Jin Hee and Jung Kyung Ho. Other than acting, Choi Tae Joon also is a host for variety show Hello Counselor and joined We Got Married as Apink Bomi’s partner.

Jung Chae Yeon as Shin Ki Won  

Jung Chae Yeon is a South Korean singer, actress and model. She rises to fame after placing seventh out of 101 contestants on Mnet survival program Produce 101 and later became part of dirl group project I.O.I. She is currently a member of girl group DIA under MBK Entertainment. She appeared in music videos for Elsie and K. Will even before her official debut. She acted in web-drama Sweet Temptation and also played supporting role in tvN drama Drinking Solo. She made many appearances on variety shows such as Show Me The Money, Hidden Singer and Eat Sleep Eat.

PREMISE

A male robot, KDI-109 comes from the future. He ends up living with Shin Ki Won’s family. Shin Ki Won is a girl who is a 4^th year student that studies philosophy. Basically, that is all we know, perhaps they can’t reveal too many since this is a web-drama with little broadcast time.  Why does the robot come to the present day? Could the robot and the girl have any connection in the future? Stay tune to find out what happen to them.
